The Way Forward
This painting is my commentary on the sensation of being present, and the energies that influence who we are and the world we experience.
The deliberate movement toward an abstract horizon, suggests that the persistent part of us continues to journey forward, even when the future glows with an uncertain intensity.
This is the third piece in my ongoing series that merges Western motifs with mid-century abstraction. While the central focus is the intersection of these two styles, an underlying theme has emerged: a contemplation of space, both literal and metaphorical, that speaks to movement, identity, and strength found in uncertainty. I’ve been reading a lot of Pema Chodron lately so it’s clearly seeped into my work. 2025
